Mobile plate milling
We developed this special technology to support foundries. During the operation of the die-casting machine, the die may be pressed into the surface of the machine plate, making it uneven. This adversely affects the production capability and service life of both the die and the machine.

Repairing die-holding plates, especially on larger machines, requires a long time and huge costs. We developed this machine and technology in order to save time and money for you.
With our mobile milling solution, we can reduce repair time by 60-70%. For example, milling an 800-ton machine with normal plates (not hardened or welded) using our technology takes 5-6 days. There is no need to disassemble or transport the machine, nor to wait for milling capacity to become available. A big advantage is that our colleagues carry out the repair on-site, so you can immediately start production on the die-casting machine at the end of the operation.

Our technology of mobile milling includes:
- Milling of fixed and moving plates on any machine with a closing force between 400-2000t.
- Cleaning of T-slots.
- Adjustment of the geometry of the chamber support.
- Milling of the surfaces of the fixed and moving plates.
Around the machine columns, we cannot mill 3-5 mm.
Here is everything you need to do before we start work:
- Removal of the die.
- Removal of die lubrication.
- Mechanical and chemical cleaning of the machine.
- Providing a crane and forklift for mounting and dismounting our milling machine.

Technical parameters:
- Accuracy: 0.1 mm at 1 m.
- Milling depth: We generally recommend milling the table before the recess reaches 2 mm; however, the machine is capable of milling up to 10 mm.
- Milling depth per layer: 0.3 mm.
- Measurement of plate parallelism, measurement of tie-bar elongation, adjustment of parallelism.
- We recommend adjusting parallelism and tie-bar elongation after milling.
- We can provide you with this service using our Swiss-made measuring device.
- We can adjust the geometry of the machine (parallelism) or the stretching of the tie-bars (load) on the machine's tie-bars.
- We guarantee a maximum 10% difference on the 4 tie-bars of the machine.
- After the intervention, we will provide you with a measurement report/verbal.
